Breeder Toolkit and Reports Tab

Breeder Toolkit and Reports Tab

Some of you may recall that over the last several months we’ve requested feedback from you on usability improvements for MyDogDNA and Optimal Selection, and we’ve listened! We heard from you that the downloadable full genetics report needs to be easier to locate, so we’ve refreshed the report’s look and created a new tab in your dog’s profile as a home for all your MyDogDNAdocuments.

The following documents can now be found on the Reports page:

  • Full genetics report (formerly the “Technical Report”) containing a summary of the disorders, traits, and diversity results for your dog
  • ISAG 2020 DNA profile certificate*
  • All Parentage Analysis certificates which include this dog*

*If applicable

Privacy:

You are in full control of your privacy settings and sharing, which can be modified from within your dog’s profile under “Manage Pet Profile” or from within the Reports page itself under “Modify “Privacy Settings.”

Don’t have a DNA profile, but want one?

If you don’t have a DNA profile for your dog or cat and you’d like to have one, you can request an upgrade to your pet’s results from within the Reports page. If the option to upgrade doesn’t appear, it means your sample was old enough that we are not able to upgrade your dog without retesting.

Breeder Toolkit:

With the addition of DNA profiling and on-demand parentage service, we’ve also added a new dropdown to the navigation bar that’s uniquely for breeders: the Breeder Toolkit. Here is where you can request our unique, on-demand parentage analysis of any two or more dogs in your account with DNA profiles. Generated parentage analysis certificates will be added to your account within minutes for retrieval or sharing.

We hope you love these new features and find them useful. Keep an eye out for our newsletter announcements as we’ll be sharing more exciting news in the coming months!
